The *gasp* Me

So here it is, my chubby, middle aged, housewifey face in all its 33 year old glory!
I took this photos yesterday, they are definitely not perfect, not even close, kind of like me.
I HATE being in front of the camera, it feels much to selfish and vain to me but I think my kids need to see some pictures of me that aren't from my 20's.
I took these in my bathroom(where the light was) at arms length so was rather limited as to poses and such. I REALLY need to figure out that darn timer. :0
So without further ado here they are the once a decade self portraits. PHEW!

Olympus E500
14-42mm, 3.5-5.6

ISO 800, 1/25, f/4.o Does the scarf look familiar? hehe

Up the nose, the perfect shot for flattering nostril shots! LOL The pose is awful but this photo really conveys just how I feel about being in front of that lens.

Even though this is super noisy I kind of like the feel of this one, I suppose I could always embellish the truth a bit and say I put a texture on it. :D Alas it is just crappy shooting that caused it, oh well. I particularly like how this one makes my shnooze look humongous. ha!

Great job and I have to say that I have never considered 33 as being middle aged. I'm 32 and if 33 is middle age shoot me now jk. I'm too chicken to do a self portrait where you can actually see what I look like.

I would be taking self-portraits if I was half as pretty as you!

The noise totally works in that last shot, it's a really nice portrait of you-flattering. I personally LOVE that second shot-hilarious!

Hey there, cutie, nice to see you! You are beautiful and I love your flippy hairdo. And I'm older than you, so if you're middle-aged, I must have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel!

P.S. because I forgot to tell you that I got my clock in Boothbay Harbor. I forget which store, but I think they're all owned by the same person because every time I walked into one, they'd give me a coupon for one of the other ones. I was on a never-ending loop for a while there. :-)

You look great and I like the photos. I like the first one best, but the second had me laughing, your description sums up my thoughts of being a photography subject too!

Well, young child, (I'm 54), your 2nd way is very, very beautiful. And we ALL kind find unflattering angles; the challenge is the flattering angle, which #2 definitely is. Way to go!
